Blueberry Cheese{Shake}

Get it? Cheesecake+milkshake=cheeseshake.

I really don't get why I'm failing my college algebra class. My math is clearly flawless.

Okay I'm not completely failing. But this last test on algorithms really did a number on me. I haven't done real math in maybe... five or six years. I'm a little rusty.

Plus I'm still angry that I have to take this class at all. Only one college is requiring it for the program I'm applying to. But since I feel like I need to apply to as many nearby programs as possible to up my chances of getting in before I'm fifty (it's a tough program to get into and often takes several years), I'm taking this ridiculous class.

I pretty much abhor it. And it's not my strongest suit.

Now this ice cream shooting thing I can definitely get into. I know there are a lot of pictures, I'm sorry! I just couldn't stop once I started. Remember all the pictures I posted when I shared that Summer Strawberry Cheesecake Ice Cream?

Looks like I have a thing for eating ice cream and photographing it.

Really that's kind of ironic since ice cream is one of the trickier desserts to shoot because it's so time sensitive.

Keep scrolling through the pictures and you'll see what I mean.

Some of my shoots can take 15-20 minutes. This shoot only lasted about 8 minutes and look how different the beginning shots look from the product at the end.

Still delicious but very very messy.

And half gone.

That vanished half may or may not be part on the table, part in my stomach.

Okay I'll admit it. I like photographing ice cream because I use the time sensitive issue as an excuse to keep taking bites out of the melting subject.

Guilty.

But if we're being totally and completely honest here, I find an excuse for that every time I shoot delicious food.

Oh look, that cookie broke, poor thing. I should put it out of it's misery...

See what I mean?

I had a different plan for these blueberries in my fridge. But that plan required the conquering of my yeast-utilizing fear.

And I just wasn't feeling quite brave enough today.

So I copped out. But I don't really feel that bad about it. Because look what I made instead!

Looks like my yeast-including blueberry recipe idea will just have to wait for another day. In the meantime, please pull up a chair and I'll serve you a delicious, slightly melty, one of a kind, Blueberry CheeseSHAKE!
